In this role, UAS Assessors utilize un-biased evaluations to ensure patients receive the care and support they truly deserve. During each appointment, you will guide patients through a standardized UAS-NY assessment, gather key information, and finalize eligibility for home-based long-term care services.

This hybrid schedule offers the best of both worlds with a mix of remote work from your own home and face to face patient care. Approximately 40 to 60% of assessments are conducted as telehealth, with the remainder completed in-person based on patient needs and location. In-person assessments may take place in patients’ homes, healthcare facilities, or other settings in the community within your assigned travel area. You will typically complete 2-3 initial and/or reassessment appointments daily, allowing you to maintain quality care while enjoying a manageable schedule.

This is a direct hire opportunity to join Med-Scribe’s growing UAS Assessor team!

The role is 35-37.5 hours per week. Core hours are an 8-hour shift scheduled between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Sunday. Schedule preferences are taken into consideration to support work-life balance. However, final schedules are assigned based on operational needs and nurses must cover required assessments. Training is also full-time for a period of 4-6 weeks.

Please note, a conflict-of-interest agreement will be required for all RNs – which disallows employment with other MLTC or home care agencies while employed with our UAS project.

• Manhattan - Upper East / West Side, and East / West Harlem

Travel for this role is primarily kept as close to home as possible within your home county. For RNs residing within Hudson Valley, Capital District, North Country, Central New York, Southern Tier, Finger Lakes, and Western New York you will be assigned to the county you reside in, however, there may be coverage in a neighboring county as needed.

A laptop, cell phone, and additional work equipment will be provided to you.

Candidates must reside and be licensed in New York State!

Salary: $56.50 per hour including travel reimbursement between patient homes.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is highly preferred
• At least 22 months of experience in a home setting is required either as a Registered Nurse or prior to becoming a Registered Nurse within the past 15 years.
• UAS experience is preferred but not required
• Proficient computer skills are required, 35 WPM typing speed.
