We’re seeking a personable and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant to support patient care across multiple office locations. Whether you’re a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, or have other clinical experience, this role offers the chance to explore a fascinating specialty and advance your career in ophthalmology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Room and screen patients, obtain medical histories, and document accurately.
  • Prepare patients and set up instruments for eye exams and treatments.
  • Support patients by answering questions and guiding them through their visits.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Multi-Site Variety:

Enjoy working at four distinct locations within Monroe County—Gates, Irondequoit, Brighton, and Victor—bringing variety and fresh perspectives to your workweek.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday. 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with occasional Saturday mornings (8 AM – 12 PM, about 3 times every 6 months).

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Tech, or similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the ophthalmology field
