Do you crave a position where you will work independently, while still giving back to the community?  In our CANS Assessor position, you’ll schedule your home and community visits and will be making a difference in the lives of the individuals, families and communities of the people you work with.

In this role, you will travel to the homes of children with intellectual or developmental disabilities to perform person-centered CANS (Children and Adolescents Needs and Strengths) assessments to determine each individual’s strengths, needs and interests. The CANS looks at all areas of a person’s life, such as the person’s interests, living skills, health, behavior, and supports.

Travel is based on your location and will include your county, and potentially neighboring counties, up to a maximum of 2 hours' travel time. 

Days/Hours: Full time, 40 hours weekly.

Schedules will vary weekly and will include evening and weekend work.  Reliability and flexibility are required.

Salary: $26 to $28.25 / hour, depending on benefits elected 

Mileage: Mileage reimbursements available up to a weekly maximum of 100 miles.

Travel: Based on your location. It will include your county and may include surrounding counties. Hybrid - expect to travel 1 day per week as needed! Travel is limited to a maximum of 2 hours from your home, and computer equipment is provided for remote work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required. 28 different majors in human service-related fields are accepted!
• 2+ years of experience working with the I/DD population.
