We have partnered with a highly reputable ophthalmology practice to recruit an outgoing and professional Patient Service Representative to join their fast-paced team. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a weekday schedule between their Rochester and Canandaigua offices.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys helping patients and can manage multiple priorities at once!

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phone calls and route messages
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Obtain and verify insurance information and patient demographics
• Collect co-pays and balances
• Assist with referrals, authorizations and prior approvals
• Scan and upload patient documents and maintain accurate records
• Maintain HIPAA compliance at all time.

Key Details:

Pay: $19-$23/hr depending on experience

Location: Rochester (primary location) with approx. 6 days/month in the Canandaigua office

Schedule:

• Rochester Office: any 8 hr shift between 7:30am-5:00pm.
• Canandaigua Office: 8:00am-4:30pm

• 1+ year experience in a medical office, front desk or call center roll highly preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior ophthalmology or retina experience preferred
• Prior EMR experience preferred
