We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join a busy medical office in Clifton Park, NY. This role supports patient check-in for four clinical practices in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Responsibilities:
• Patient Check-In & Front Desk Support: Greet and check in patients for multiple practices, ensuring a smooth and professional first impression.
• Insurance Verification & Documentation: Verify insurance information, scan paperwork, collect photo IDs, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Technology & Data Entry: Navigate multiple EMR systems (each practice uses a different platform) and ensure accurate data entry.
• Team Collaboration & Patient Flow: Work closely with a team of four other reception staff to manage high daily patient volume and coordinate with practices when patients arrive late.
Note: This role is not phone-heavy. Phones are used only for internal communication with practices as needed.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM (occasional coverage until 5:00PM)
Duration: Temporary, minimum 3-month commitment, with potential hire
Pay: $17.00/hour, $19.00 if/when hired by client
• Strong customer service skills required; prior receptionist or healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment (200-350+ patients per day).
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn multiple systems quickly.
• Experience with NexGen, Phreesia, or eScribe is a plus.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent customer service experience preferred.
