Job Description

Join a leading health insurance organization in an 18-month project management role focused on improving healthcare quality through value-based payment initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring the seamless exchange of claims data between providers and an advanced analytics platform, supporting quality measures that drive better patient outcomes.

This position offers $39.50/hour with full benefits, and the potential for long-term employment. Candidates residing in Buffalo or Rochester are preferred. 


What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the integration of claims data from a major insurance provider into an external analytics platform, supporting healthcare quality initiatives.
  • Track project milestones, manage next steps, and ensure effective communication with internal teams and external healthcare practices.
  • Collaborate with provider offices and their technical teams to ensure EMR connectivity, troubleshoot issues, and support smooth data exchange.
  • Test and validate claims and EMR data, conducting reasonability checks to align with HEDIS quality measures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to analyze performance data and provide insights that help improve care delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare data exchange.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data accuracy and compliance.
  • Background in project coordination, data analysis, or healthcare quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience is required.
  • Buffalo or Rochester residents are preferred, but all New York State residents will be considered.
