Job Description

Med-Scribe, Inc. is partnering with a growing specialty behavioral health practice to hire a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Clinician (LMSW).  Based in Rochester, NY, this practice provides structured, evidence-based care for individuals living with chronic pain, chronic illness, and trauma.  This mission-driven team is seeking clinicians who are passionate about helping medically complex populations through practical, skills-focused interventions in a collaborative environment.  This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who have foundational clinical experience and are looking to deepen their work within a specialty practice setting.

About the Role
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will conduct diagnostic assessments and provide individual therapy using structured, evidence-based treatment approaches.  The practice focuses on helping patients develop meaningful coping skills and achieve measurable progress through intentional, goal-oriented care.  While long-term treatment is available when clinically appropriate, this is not open-ended, exploratory therapy.  The clinical approach is structured, purposeful, and focused on skill development to help patients manage the challenges associated with chronic health conditions.

This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis.  Clinicians interested in a full-time schedule should expect a 3-6 month ramp-up period while building a full caseload.  The practice offers a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and virtual sessions, consistent supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

What You'll Do
- Complete diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and other skills-focused approaches
- Deliver structured, goal-oriented interventions for patients managing chronic pain, chronic illness, and trauma
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities

Compensation & Support
- $40-$50/hour (Part-Time), $70-75k/year (Full-Time)
- Part-time or full-time scheduling options to be worked between 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday, or until 7PM on Tuesdays, or 6PM on Thursdays
- Full-time clinicians can expect a 3-6 month period to build toward a full caseload
- Paid sick time offered while part-time, full benefits package offered for full-time
- Flexible scheduling
- Administrative, billing, scheduling, and IT support provided
- Ongoing supervision and funded training opportunities

Job Requirements

- Current New York State LMSW required
- 1-5 years’ experience in direct clinical service
- Familiarity with evidence-based, skills-focused interventions such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, compassion-focused, and problem-solving therapies
- Genuine interest in working with individuals experiencing chronic pain, chronic illness, and trauma
- Curious, adaptable, and motivated by mission-driven work and continued professional growth

If you’re excited about the intersection of chronic health and mental health and want to join a supportive, evidence-based practice focused on meaningful patient outcomes, we’d welcome your application!
