Job Description

We are a healthcare staffing agency partnering with a growing, optometry-led practice to find a dedicated Optometrist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician seeking flexibility, a supportive work environment, and a practice where optometry is at the forefront.

Schedule Options:
- Part-Time (Auburn Only): 2-3 days/week based in Auburn. Mondays and Tuesdays required; a third day (Wednesday – Friday) is optional and can be determined based on your availability.
- Full-Time (Syracuse): Monday – Friday, 8-hour days. No commute.

Compensation & Incentives:

  • Hourly Rate: $75–$80/hr
    (Equivalent to $156K–$166K annually for full-time)
  • Quarterly Production Bonuses
  • Relocation Assistance Available

Daily Patient Flow:
See approximately 20–21 patients per day
(3 full exams per hour, plus medical visits or contact lens checks)

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive eye exams using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Diagnose and treat ocular diseases.
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids.
• Co-manage medical and surgical cases with outside ophthalmologists.
• Provide expert guidance to patients regarding vision care.
• Collaborate with an optical tech for efficient patient flow.

Job Requirements

  • Doctorate in Optometry (OD) required.
  • New graduates will be considered. Must be licensed to practice in New York State (NYS).
